Tiane Doan na Champassak

French artist of Asian descent, Tiane Doan na Champassak (1973), was first recognized for his documentary work before exploring a more artistic approach. His photography explores the themes of sexuality and gender identity as seen by the filters of anonymity and censorship. He explores the relation between his own photographic production and appropriated images. The sources are diverse and include the Internet, personal memorabilia and magazine cuttings.
